Swan was pulled from the same city pound as Badger and HumVee. Her condition was so awful that I couldn’t tell whether she was a purebred American Pit Bull Terrier, as her skin was swollen and scabby from sarcoptic mange. Despite her constant scratching, Swan let us examine her teeth, walk her and she even wagged her tail at people and dogs. I’m unsure what she might be mixed with, but she’s recovering from the mange thanks to expensive lime & sulphur dips and antibiotic injections and will need to be treated for high heartworm infection and spayed.
